This is a very unassuming motel. The exterior was not welcoming and we even thought we weren't in the right location. We left to look around but returned according to our GPS. Only upon entering, I recognized the rooms from the pictures on their internet site. The rooms were comfortable, although rather rustic. The back yard was pleasant as it looked out on the Gunnison River but due to rain, we did not use.

very dog friendly with individual small fenced area directly accessed from room; great dog walking area along teh Gunnison river; very accommodating staff/owners.

We were misled by the name, the sign out front said Riverview Hotel. When we eventually figured it must be the place, the front desk said they were under new management and “making some changes.
The “garden”was more of a weed patch, the sitting area out front was full of weeds and had a wire fence around it, more like a cage. The property has some charming potential, but needs a lot of TLC.

There were great fenced in areas in front of the room so the pooch had easy access to outdoor facilities. The trails around the property are great! Right on the river and peaceful.

Loved Loved Loved it!!~ such a quaint little place!,& I Loved looking at the river,& sunrise 🌅... definitely will be back!!
