Colorful, cozy oasis in the middle of the medina
The riad itself if beautiful: comfortable and colourful: both in the private and common spaces. The riad is relatively new, having been recently restored and it is indeed very obvious that it was a labour of love.
Location wise it was very well located- close walk (4 min) to the main square and walkable (10-30 min) to other parts of the city (Mellah, Hivernage, Guerlitz, Kasbah) and is just off of a main path in the medina which means it was always busy. This was great because even at night there were people around so walking around felt very safe.
The entire team there was absolutely delightful: warm, accommodating, and very professional. Yassim in particular was a joy!
We stayed in the Bourganviller suite which is on the 2nd floor (the only room on this floor) and it was beautifully designed but more importantly, vVERY QUIET and cozy. I slept so well there and woke up every morning feeling well rested. The call to prayer is audible but that's pretty much anywhere and it wasn't that loud (didn't wake me up) as they have done a great job at soundproofing.
Breakfast was excellent: plentiful, lots of variety including cheeses, fruit, fresh fruit juice and coffee, fresh baked goods, and a special daily egg dish. A great way to start each morning.
We'd stay again (and hope to) and would recommend.

A oasis of peace and care
Breakfasts are prepared in minute detail and with some special surprise, every day.
There is a quietness that gives you a feeling of shelter from the busy life of the Medina.
And you’ll be received with a warm welcome every time you arrive to it.
The rooftop is a relaxing and protected open air option, with a small basin where you can bath.
The sounds of prayers arrive occasionally from not far and reminds you of where you are.

A fantastic riad with the best service - in the heart of the medina
The Christmas dinner created by Emanuele was first class and we will remember it for a long time. The breakfast was also great quality and left nothing to be desired.
The rooms are authentic and furnished with care, the well-kept garden terrace invites relaxation. The Jacuzzi certainly offers a good refreshment in hot weather.
The price is completely correct and reasonable for what is offered. From our point of view, there is really nothing better or more beautiful to do - thank you very much for your hospitality! We definitely recommend Riad Maipa to all those looking for a family haven amid the hustle and bustle of the medina!
