I am a regular to the hotel for the reason rates are reasonable for the rooms they provide. Most of the staff are polite. Located close to main places.

Horror stay with terrible customer service
TL;DR: Don't rely on Google reviews for this hotel. My stay was a nightmare with terrible customer service.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. No sensible person would want to stay in fungus-ridden, unclean, dusty, and foul-smelling rooms, nor get threatened by a gang of thugs over a few hundred rupees.
Detailed Review:
I was misled by the great reviews I saw for this hotel and booked it for a family trip. Initially, the booking process was courteous, but the nightmare began when we entered our room. It looked like something straight out of a horror movie, and I seriously doubt it had been cleaned in the past month. The walls were covered in fungus and cracks, the room was extremely dusty, and it reeked of a foul smell. To make matters worse, the air conditioner was not working.
When we complained, the hotel staff suggested the problem was with us and demanded extra money to switch rooms. Yes, in their view, when the room is filthy and the AC is broken, it's the customer's fault. We were exhausted from traveling and dealing with the heat, not to mention managing small children. Finally, they agreed to switch our room since the AC was completely non-functional.
The worst part came during checkout. The hotel reception rudely demanded extra money. Extra charges should reflect extra value, which was certainly not the case here. They showed us an uninhabitable room, made a fuss about switching us to a slightly better one, and then had the audacity to threaten us for extra money at checkout. They even brought in outsiders to intimidate us—a family with small children and elderly members, new to the town.
There are proper ways to handle customer service. The staff could have explained any additional charges upfront and justified the switch logically. Paying a little extra is one thing, but being threatened for a few hundred rupees reveals their truly cruel mindset.

This is NOT a 4-star property
Firstly, they mention it as a 4-star property, I can only laugh at it. It does not deserve 1-star. I have been to Cuddalore a few times and this time I thought I will try this hotel as other good resorts near the beach were closed due to covid. The hotel is a very basic one with dirty bathrooms and no so clean linens. The staff consists of a group of ladies during the day shift and arrogant men in the evening and night shifts. The rooms have only one set of towel, blanket and pillow irrespective of how many of you are staying there. We had booked a family room with 4 people and a double room. When we asked for more towels etc. they had a major issue as if we are asking money from their pockets. Reluctantly they provided only two sets even though we were officially booked for 6 people between two rooms. The male housekeeping staff behavior is quite rude, they just don't want to serve.
The staff at the front desk are relatively ok. When I booked this hotel from booking.com, the person at the front desk called me and asked me to cancel the booking and book directly with them. When I refused he told me that I can save on GST if I don't need a bill. I refused his request and continued with my online booking.
This hotel does not have parking. You will be asked to park either in front of the hotel (can accommodate only one car) or opposite side of the road where auto guys will harass you as that place is occupied by them.
Basically, this is not a hotel you want to stay in as there are plenty of much better options at the same rate SPDS is charging. There are a couple of good places to stay near Silver beach.
