Small hotel / Super friendly
The hotel is in an older building where there is also a restaurant. The way to the hotel rooms leads through an older staircase. The room itself is functionally equipped and clean. It seemed to me that the room was recently renovated. The bathroom was small, clean and also looked renovated. The welcome was warm, as was the service during the stay.
Breakfast was more than adequate. There were all kinds of cereals. Eggs (no scrambled eggs), rolls, yogurt (no fruit salad). But it must also be said that very few guests were in the hotel. The quality of the food was good. In the price/performance ratio you can give a 10/10 without hesitation.
I would book the hotel again and again if I need accommodation in Viersen.

Light and shadow close together
Our room was on the 2nd floor. There was no elevator in this old building. But the room was well equipped. The large bathroom with walk-in shower was also good. The rooms of my sisters-in-law (and partner) were clearly too small for that.
The apartment for my daughter and her family was different. This one would have earned an extra point. Unfortunately, there was not a single parking space belonging to the hotel. "Capturing" one on the side of the road is a pure gamble in this residential area, especially on weekends and holidays.
The breakfast was pure minimalism. The range (variety) on offer was still sufficient. Especially for granivores. But not the quantity. Two small plates with a few slices of "Dopswurst" and cheese are simply not enough. Of course, there was also packaged sausage and cheese. They usually refilled them. And fried or scrambled eggs only on request from the ladies, who were friendly but otherwise not particularly enthusiastic about work. All of this for €110 including breakfast is, in my opinion, a bit too little.

Great Place to Stay and to eat.
This is my 5th time as a guest in the iron hand, as I often have work to do in Viersen.
The house is from around 1900's, but everything is lovingly cared for, clean and tidy.
The food is always delicious, fresh, and prepared with love. Much emphasis is placed on fresh products, everything I ate was fresh and very tasty. There are always fresh flowers on the Tables in the restaurant.
I often have special requests that are gladly accommodated for when possible.
The service in the restaurant is quick and attentive, and the employees in the hotel and restaurant always trying to please so the guests are fine and have everything they need. I like being in the iron hand every time and would definitely recommend it, because of the friendly service personal, the good food and the price-performance ratio is fine.

Short stay
We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome of a small local hotel. Our host provided assistance to our rooms and to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
A quiet location comfortable beds, good breakfast. Everting we needed.
We would stay again.

Das Katastrophen Bett
Die Matratze war eine Katastrophe
(Zimmer Nr. 8), sie knarzte gewaltig.
Das Bad in der Größe einer Gästetoilette ohne Ablagen. Kein Spiegel im Zimmer. Keine Klimaanlage.
Die Zimmerreinigung am Morgen sollte unbedingt durchgeführt werden weil die Dame nach Hause wollte, wir mußten raus aus dem Zimmer.
Der Parkplatz muß in den umliegenden Straßen gesucht werden.
