Friendly hotel on the Bode with delicious food

We were here at the weekend to hike (Harzer hiking needle). For us a great starting point, the rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet very good and the dinner mega. Especially the trout dishes but also the game. We can definitely recommend the hotel.

價格和質量不完全平衡

首先 - 這是一個住宿的好地方“forelle酒店"。
不過,價格相當有雄心（例如： 0.5升啤酒的價格是€4.30）。
所以這裏的服務,雖然很友好,經常不夠又快又好。
尤其是在每天忙碌有時你等了三十分鐘下亞歷山德森。
還有蜘蛛網的天花板上本不應該發生在這樣一個房子。
總之還是不錯的質量,雖然價格有點高。

Well-kept family hotel in a fantastic location

The good impression began with a very friendly telephone conversation with the manager of the hotel, who is very committed, customer-oriented and unbureaucratic. This impression was confirmed a few days later by both the staff and the hotel itself, which is in an excellent geographical location. Many family excursion destinations can be reached quickly from here.
The food was excellent, the service always friendly and courteous. The rooms in the 18th century house are very clean and well-maintained. There was nothing to complain about. We thank you for the wonderful holiday and would love to come back. :)

Hunger drove it in...

The restaurant does not keep its promises in the slightest. The website promised 34 trout dishes (there were 12, including slight variations of the previous one, such as whole fish to fillet) and game shot by the owner himself. The trout dish was really tasty, but unfortunately it came with very few potatoes. A chicken breast dish was also OK, but the croquettes were fried in old fat. The negative highlight were the two game dishes. The very tender venison goulash had obviously been warmed up in the microwave and was only lukewarm, the dumplings were from a packet and absolutely tasteless. It was accompanied by overcooked red cabbage. The roast venison was also tender and tasty, but only lukewarm - probably also from the microwave. The croquettes were also fried in rancid fat and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to a mushy state. There was also a lake of cooking water on the plate, but no sauce. Only hunger drove me in! Added to that were rather unfriendly staff and an atmosphere that does not deserve the name. And then the food was the most expensive and worst that we had during the 4 days in the Harz.
We didn't stay overnight there.

Top short break with need to repeat

We chose this hotel because our other two preferred destinations were booked for the period and we were definitely not disappointed. Excellent location, lots of peace and quiet, almost unbeatable value for money, lots of sights in the area, great weather, friendly fellow guests (a very nice and above all warm greeting to the Berlin family with the "three" children ), very tasty food according to Waage and not to forget a great compliment to the entire hotel team. We recommended it to friends and co before we left and we would love to come back. ❤️
