C’est Charmant

Loved this small charming hotel near the river, across from a beautiful church and square with plenty of great restaurants. It’s walking distance from the train station and well situated near the historic center. The rooms are large and the pictures on the site are accurate. We only stayed one night on a last minute trip and they were very accommodating. The proprietors were very helpful and lovely. I would stay here again!

Hotel, nightclub or bar?

We stayed in room No11 which is located above the hotel reception/bar/nightclub. The problem is that all rooms on the first floor are poorly soundproofed and the rest is incompatible with the activity of the bar. The room rumbled so much that we had to go downstairs twice to ask to be removed or to change rooms. Finally, they removed the music at 1:00 a.m. greatly disrupting our rest.
The next morning we requested the change of room and this time successfully. We were given an identical room but on the third floor. The problem was solved.
Anyway, one of the most negative points is that they are perfectly aware of the problem they have in the rooms on the first floor but continue to offer them as if nothing were happening. During the conversation we had with the reception girl for the change of room he told us that it was something very weird and that it had never happened to them before. However, when they addressed their partner in French they commented something like: let me guess, they are those of No 11 right?
It is a shame that these things happen in hotels that have everything to be recommended but try to profit even from what does not fulfill its main purpose: to be a resting place.
Pd: The room is fine but the shower lacks pressure (This for those who can not stand this type of showers lol)

Not a hotel, but but a NIGHTCLUB

Terrible experience! Too loud music every night which made sleeping impossible. Every time the staff promises that it will be quiet however every night the noise starts again. The room itself has zero privacy due to the glass bathroom door and a window that cannot be opened. Not suitable for those who want a quiet night! Breakfast also disappoints, it is always waiting for replenishment and costs 15EUR. This hotel is not a boutique hotel. Owner has to choose between cafe/nightclub or renting out rooms...

Le Lola: A Charming Boutique Inn in Bordeaux

Go without hesitation! During our stay in Bordeaux, we slept two nights in this Pension, it was great! We were greeted with smile, kindness and efficiency, our room overlooking the church, beautiful, was large and comfortable and had a crazy charm, with a bar and terrace downstairs that offer all day drinks and planks of cold cuts and / or cheese to enjoy, a happiness! A great experience, to be repeated as soon as we return to Bordeaux

Excellent position pour visiter Bordeaux centre

A perfect hotel, very good welcome, nice room, nothing wrong, a hotel to recommand! Very good restaurants at walking distanceMy Aussie friends were terribly pleased with my choice. A secret pour les gourmands: no lift, eat as much as you like and walk three floors up to your room, excellent to digest a meal ans stay fit!!!
